Albany Nanotech to become first flagship facility of national semiconductor center
Albany Nanotech has been designated as the first flagship facility of the National Semiconductor Technology Center, following a final agreement reached yesterday.
Senator Chuck Schumer's office announced that this development will bring a historic $825 million investment from the bipartisan CHIPS and Science Act. The funding will be used to conduct cutting-edge ultraviolet research and development.
Governor Kathy Hochul said the investment helps New York continue to lead the way nationwide in the Nanotechnology industry.
